You have to remember that the weaker password is, the easier it is to connect to your router. Sometimes we think that the password we picked is unique and complex but at the same time easy to remember. But hackers… well, they think differently. They don’t think about actual passwords at all — they use standard techniques mainly based on large dictionaries combined with brute-force and substantial computing power provided by GPU processors. And at the and — what we assume as a strong password can be a piece of cake to break.
But cracking the WiFi password is one thing — to take control over the WiFi router is something else. It could be something that can lead to serious trouble is why the way you protect access to the router administration panel should be considered the most critical issue.
